A certified nursing aide is one of the most important roles in the health care team. This course is for those who wish to become Nurse Aides providing high quality, compassionate care for residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, private homes, and hospital patients. Graduating students are eligible to take the NNAAP exam required by the Virginia Board of Nursing. This course meets the Virginia Board of Nursing's requirement for Nurse Aide Training in Virginia.

Class meets in-person 1/28/25-4/8/25 on Tues/Thurs from 6-9:30pm and several Saturdays (see schedule below).
Clinical: March 24-April 4, 2-10:30pm MWF, Location: VMRC, Harrisonburg
Note: In addition to the scheduled classes/labs/zoom meetings, there is other online work that must be completed.
There is a minimum of 12-18+ hours of online work outside of class.
