Phlebotomy Technician Spring 2026

The art of drawing blood is called phlebotomy and is a very delicate and intricate skill in the medical world. Phlebotomists draw blood for tests, transfusions, research, and donations.  Instruction: 68 hours. Graduates qualify for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam given by the National Healthcareers Association (NHA). For more information, please visit the Phlebotomy website.

Class meets Monday and Wednesday - 5:30 - 9:30pm, 2/9/26 - 4/1/26

There is online work in addition to the scheduled classes/labs/zoom meetings.

Certification Exam:   Date and time TBD

Class Fee includes  textbooks and one certification testing fee.

 
BRCC currently has scholarship funding to defray the cost of many workforce courses - such as Phlebotomy Technician.  Most Virginia residents receive a 2/3 discount on tuition and, for many unemployed individuals or individuals in low paying jobs, courses are free or nearly free.  Email (wce@brcc.edu) or call (540-453-2215) to talk with an advisor who can help get you into a short term training course at BRCC today!
