ClassGraphic This camp introduces students to the cutting-edge world of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), or drones. From basic physics to advanced aerial maneuvers, students will transition from rookie observers to skilled drone pilots. Students will tackle drone obstacle courses, incorporating the responsibility of FAA-compliant flight, ensuring every student leaves with a foundation in both aviation technology and safety. Attendees will receive information about and instructions on taking the FAA Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). The camp concludes with a tour of BRCC's Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) facility at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport.  Bonus: Students get to keep their drone at the end of camp!
