Basic Repair and Guitar Maintenance

ClassGraphic Develop basic care and maintenance of your guitar, including simple repair and assessment of overall condition.  Learn what to watch for when buying guitars, simple tasks you can perform to improve your own guitar, how to string your guitar, and when to seek a professional repair expert.  Bring a functioning guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo or other plectrum instrument - acoustic or electric, along with a clip-on tuner and string winder (available at local music stores), and a towel. When and where to acquire additional tools as needed will be covered in class.  No bowed (violin/fiddle/upright bass) instruments, please.
