Virginia Artists in the Marketplace (VA-AIM) is the first residency program of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley.  The 2019 program is presented in collaboration with Arts Council of the Valley, BRCC and studioELL.  This second year brings a new cohort together during a week in May 2019 to dive deep into their studio practices and what it means to be a professional artist in today's contemporary moment.  Residency includes lectures, workshops and seminars on a variety of professional practice topics:  artist resumes/CVs, artist statements, branding, website and web identities, applying to opportunities, exhibitions, and taxes and liability, among other topics.  The week-long residency will conclude with a group exhibit at Arts Council of the Valley in January 2020.  Sessions are led by studioELL Founder and Director John Ros.
