The art of drawing blood is called phlebotomy and is a very delicate and intricate skill in the medical world. Phlebotomists draw blood for tests, transfusions, research, and donations.  Instruction: 64 hours.  Optional externship:  40 hours
Graduates qualify for the Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT) exam given by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
