Playing music by yourself?  You may be missing a lot of fun and fellowship! No need to be a top-notch player or part of a band to cash in on a great musical experience. The Shenandoah Valley is rich with bluegrass and old-time open jam sessions. Explore how to play music with others in an informal (jam) setting. Touching on etiquette and expectations at established bluegrass and old time jams; primary objective will be learning to make music together. If you can tune your instrument and play a few songs, you're ready for this class. Focus will be simple "Americana" styles: bluegrass, country, folk, old time, early rock and pop.  All acoustic instruments, and quiet/polite electric guitars/bass guitars are welcome; no drums please - though "polite percussion" (wash boards, shakers) is fine. Bring your tuned instrument, tuner, your favorite song to share with the group - and a team spirit.  Fun times ahead!
