ClassGraphic Virginia Artists in the Marketplace (VA-AIM) is the first residency program of its kind in the Shenandoah Valley. The 2020 program is presented in collaboration with Arts Council of the Valley, BRCC and studioELL. Bringing a new cohort together in May 2020, the group will dive deep into their studio practices and what it means to be a professional artist in today’s contemporary moment. Residency includes lectures, workshops and seminars on a variety of professional practice topics: artist resumes/CVs, artist statements, branding, websites and web identities, applying to opportunities, exhibitions, and taxes and liability, among other topics.  An hour lunch is scheduled both days; bring a bag lunch or network at one of the local deli options. The 2-day residency will conclude with a group exhibition at Arts Council of the Valley in January 2021.  Sessions are led by studioELL Founder and Director John Ros.

Application Period: January 1 through April 3, 2020.  Additional info at www.studioELL.org
