« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Interested in photomontage, compositing multiple images, or even restoring old photos? Enter the wild and wonderful world of image manipulation and use layers, masks, and modes to build on your image-editing skills. Manipulating images is an art form that is more common today because of Adobe Photoshop, but has actually has been practiced since 1856. Layers allow you to not only to make targeted adjustments but also make those adjustments non-destructive, so the original image is never changed. Masks are a way of controlling or limiting the amount of change introduced in a layer, and Modes are a way of changing how layers interact with each other.
