Managers and supervisors have the most day-to-day contact with employees and you'll face many situations where problems can develop that you were never trained to address and that if handled incorrectly can lead to a variety of problems and even lawsuits. Understanding basic principles of HR can be one of the easiest ways to eliminate employee relations problems and legal challenges. In this course, participants will learn about federal and state employment laws; as well as, the importance of implementing effective HR practices from employee hiring through separation. Special emphasis will be given to the importance of maintaining a harassment-free, discrimination-free workplace.
