Have you been dreaming of a chance to perform today’s Broadway hits while taking on some of your favorite characters on stage? Then this is the class for you. Learn musical theater history; vocal, musical theater performance, and group dance techniques; as well as character acting while performing excerpts from brand new musicals, including Hamilton, Aladdin, Newsies, Frozen, Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, Beetlejuice, Be More Chill and Wicked. Individual and group acting activities will challenge you, along with character games as you practice multiple roles and musical numbers. This all-day class will include rehearsals and workshops in vocals, choreography, staging, and character development, as we prepare you to learn the skills to audition for shows anywhere! You will perform an hour-long show on Friday for family and friends, where exciting songs, scenes, and dances will feature everyone. In addition, anyone who would like to sing a solo at the final performance will be given that opportunity!
