Get the skills necessary to begin an exciting career in Heavy Equipment Operation.
The HEO Level 1 curriculum includes: orientation to the trade, heavy equipment safety and identification, basic operational techniques, earth moving and grading.
The program includes hands-on training using simulation equipment and certification from National Center for Construction and Education Research (NCCER) for those who complete the training.
Interviews with hiring companies will be scheduled for each class.
All textbooks included.HEO Training is simulation based with exposure to basic construction skills and operation methods using text in the classroom portion.
BRCC currently has scholarship funding to defray the cost of many workforce courses - such as Heavy Equipment Operation. Most Virginia residents receive a 2/3 discount on tuition and, for many unemployed individuals or individuals in low paying jobs, courses are free or nearly free.
