Are you a detail-oriented person? Put those skills to good use and learn what is required for physician medical coding. Instruction includes: medical terminology, beginning through advanced CPT Procedure Coding, HCPCS, and ICD-10 diagnosis coding.
Course prepares students to sit for the American Association for Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam.
Pre-requisites:
- One year of medical office experience that includes exposure to medical coding OR
- Successful completion of a Patient Service Representative/Certified Medical Administrative Assistant course
There is a significant amount of online work in addition to scheduled classes.
