ID : 7633
« back to classes page
Therapy dogs provide comfort and companionship to people in nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other settings.  You and your dog will begin the process of becoming a certified therapy team through Therapy Dogs International (TDI).  In addition to valuable obedience training, you will have the opportunity during class to take the TDI evaluation.  Training makes time with your dog more enjoyable at home, and brightens the lives of those in need when you volunteer.

Requirements: Your dog must be at least one year old, know basic obedience (stay, come, walk on a leash), and be tolerant of people and other dogs.

Please Note:
  • No dogs at first class session, Monday, March 12.
  • Please bring $10 with you to the evaluation test on April 28.
