Need guidance or a review to assist you in preparing to take the CompTIA A+ Certification Exams? Build your knowledge of the core exam objectives through material overviews, both exam and performance practice questions, and study materials in this preparation class. An added bonus – both the textbook and the two test vouchers are included as part of the course material! Upon completion of the course, you should feel prepared to take the certification exams at a local Testing Center or online – either at the college or in your own location.
Core 1 (220-1101) focuses on the hardware related to modern computer technology, understanding computer networking, gaining knowledge about the different mobile devices technology, virtualization, and cloud computing as well as troubleshooting and repair of these systems.
Core 2 (220-1102) emphasizes Windows Operating Systems, other operating systems (Linux, Mac, and Android), security issues, software troubleshooting, operational procedures and proper customer service techniques.
Prerequisite: A basic understanding of computer systems or completion of the Google IT Support Professional Certificate is desired.
CompTIA A+ Certification Testing at BRCC will be held on the following dates: August 7 and August 9. Your instructor will provide more details in class.
This class meets live using Zoom on the days and times indicated (synchronous). A computer or cell phone with a microphone and camera is highly recommended to get the most out of the online Zoom class.
