Ceramics: Advanced Forms: Scale and Sculpture

Designed for intermediate ceramic students, this course transcends traditional functional tableware to explore large-scale vessel construction and sculptural ceramic art. Students will synthesize hand-building and wheel-throwing methodologies based on their individual research and portfolio goals.The curriculum begins with advanced coil and slab construction before transitioning into compound throwing, section building, and altered thrown forms. This summer, challenge your technical boundaries and expand your conceptual vision with a "dream big" approach to spatial design in clay. Prerequisite: Beginning Ceramics or intermediate throwing/hand-building proficiency.
