This Healthcare Orientation is required for the following BRCC Workforce healthcare programs:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Nurse Aide (CNA)
- Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Patient Service Representative (PSR)
- EKG Technician
- Medication Aide
- Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Follow these steps to complete your orientation and register for your healthcare course:
Step 1: Determine your eligibility.
- have 2 forms of identification.
- have a high school diploma, GED, or college degree. Foreign diplomas need to have an official translation. Transcripts will be evaluated for English Proficiency.
- or currently enrolled in a high school training program and currently 16 years of age or older.
Step 2: Register for this orientation class (add to cart and check out) - it's free!
You will receive a confirmation email with information on how to setup/access your MyBRCC account and how to access the orientation course in Canvas.
Step 3: Complete all orientation tasks in Canvas for the healthcare course you want to take.
Use the link from your confirmation email to access the orientation course with your myBRCC credentials.
Step 4: Register for your healthcare course.
After you have completed the orientation and submitted all required documents, you will be contacted by a staff member with instructions on how to register and pay for your class. Several funding sources are available to assist you with the cost of tuition.
