Patient care technicians assist with the critical day-to-day care of patients. In addition to basic care, skills taught include drawing blood, point of care testing, EKG's, and wound care.
Prerequisite for Bridge program: Nurse Aide training
BRCC currently has scholarship funding to defray the cost of many workforce courses - such as Patient Care Technican. Most Virginia residents receive a 2/3 discount on tuition and, for many unemployed individuals or individuals in low paying jobs, courses are free or nearly free.
